Getting There

Flying: Nearest airports: Bordeaux, La Rochelle and Poitiers.

Cars can be hired at airports for the 1hr journey to the area (1 hour 45 from Poitiers). We strongly recommend guests hire a car to get around.

Driving: The nearest ferry port is St Malo (4 hours), or alternatively we recommend Caen and Le Havre (5 hours). Calais is around 8 hours using motorway toll roads.

Train: Eurostar to Paris then TGV to Angouleme, Poitiers or Bordeaux. Car hire available at the station.

COVID 19 

Covid 19 is no longer the threat that it was but it still lurks in the background! For peace of mind the following information is useful:-

The swimming pool is chlorinated – it’s a saltwater pool which naturally produces chlorine which kills the virus.  The pool is surrounded by a large lawn as well as hard standing so there is plenty of space for social distancing.  For hygiene reasons we encourage you to use a pool /beach towels to cover the lounger cushions (we can supply pool towels for a small fee of 4€ per towel per stay to cover laundry costs) .

Each gites has it’s own separate garden, and in addition to the large lawn around the pool, we also have a leisure field, all of which will enable our guests to follow social distancing as they require.
